Casio lifts the lid on limited edition digital piano

Casio lifts the lid on limited edition digital piano

Casio’s EMI Division has revealed that it will be releasing a ‘special offer’ 2013 digital piano aimed squarely at the autumn/Christmas selling season.

The AP-245 Celviano digital piano will, however, only be available for a limited period, so the firm is encouraging dealers to stock up on the new piano quick smart.

Featuring A.i.R sound technology and 88 note Tri-sensor keyboard action with simulated ebony and ivory key tops, the AP-245 Celviano also provides a comprehensive selection of sounds, USB connectivity, a built-in recording facility and DSP effects.

Furthermore, the AP-245 comes housed in a ‘traditional’ black digital piano cabinet complete with a sliding key cover and Casio’s three-year warranty.

Andy Carvill, head of Casio’s EMI Division, commented: “The AP-245 will represent outstanding value for money for the end user and a significant opportunity for our dealers to enjoy some high volume digital piano sales. Add in a good, achievable margin and we know we have a very strong offer in the run up to Christmas.  However, we had the opportunity to bring the stock into the UK a little earlier than previous years, so we will be releasing the AP-245 in the middle of August. We know this is really early for a Christmas special, but we may just catch some ‘back to school’ business.

“Like previous offers this model will be available on a ‘while stocks last’ basis.  We will also be supporting dealers sell through with in-store POS materials, under the ‘Why Wait’ theme plus a wider range of marketing activities. Given the strength of the product, a potentially great price point and current market trends we feel sure the AP-245 will be a resounding success. So if you are not currently a Casio EMI dealer there is no better time to get on board.”

The AP-245 Celviano is expected to retail at around £500.
